I want to acknowledge the many contributions of Mark Neumann, P.E., a 15-year veteran with Hammett & Edison, Inc., who is moving later this month to the FCC Office of Engineering Technology in Washington, D.C.

Mark continues a tradition begun with Gerhard Straub, P.E., who in June of 2000 moved to the International Bureau of the FCC after 11 years with Hammett & Edison.  Robert Weller, P.E., who had come to us from the FCC’s Denver field office, where he was Engineer-in-Charge, moved to the FCC’s OET office in November 2007, after 14 years with the firm.

I’m happy for Mark, as I was for Gerhard and Bob.  They all had solid, productive years with our firm, and moving to the East Coast makes sense for each of them, in different ways.  Though we will miss Mark’s contributions to our growing client work here, just as we missed Gerhard’s and Bob’s, having top engineers at influential positions in the FCC is good for everyone.

Our professional staff remains large, with nine engineers, and our clients in the broadcast and wireless industries continue to bring us interesting projects.  Founded in 1952, we look forward to another 59 years of client service.
